Nine Miles Down Cover Poster In the Sahara desert, a sandstorm batters a deserted drilling station. Jack Jackman, a security patrolman, battles through the high winds to find out why all contact with the station has been lost. Originally built for gas exploration, and then abandoned, the site had recently been taken over by a multi-national scientific research team intent on drilling deeper into the earth’s crust than ever before. When they reach the 9 miles down into the Earth’s crust, strange and bizarre things start to happen. The team and all visitors start hearing and seeing weird things, and they lose all scope of reality. What is real and fake is hard to distinguish.
